The Regional Rebellion

Yellow Pages was the only game in town. We started a different one.

Launched as Phone Directories Company in 1993 by founder Glenn Hargraves. The first cheque came in from Rockhampton while Glenn worked out of a rented unit. Local Specialists who knew their clients' kids' names, and pioneered full-colour print across regional Australia.

In Your Pocket

The iPhone 3G changed everything. So did we.

When touch screens put the internet in every pocket, we shipped the Localsearch app, Plumbers in Robina, surfaced in seconds, with one tap to call.

Going Digital

Google changed search. Facebook changed advertising.

We started managing organic search and building websites for our clients, turning a print directory team into a multi-channel digital marketing agency for Australian SMB.

A New Name, Same Mission

Rebranded as Localsearch, built for locals, by locals.

After 24 years as PDC, we became Localsearch. Australian-made, globally inspired. The Discovery Team hit the road from the Sunshine Coast to Townsville.

The AI Arrival

ChatGPT dropped. We'd already been preparing.

We worked directly with Google to release Australia's first local marketing solution powered by machine learning, across 10 channels in the Google and Meta suites.

Founded Localsearch in 1993 after seeing a gap in the market for a genuine competitor to Yellow Pages. Three decades on, Glenn still sets the direction, culture and financial rhythm of the business.

Daniel Hargraves

Director

Fourteen years on the road as a sales rep and personally opened 20 of Localsearch's markets before stepping into the boardroom. A Mathematics and Economics graduate who brings restless energy to refining the systems, processes and sales discipline that drive revenue.

Adam Boote

Director

Pioneered Localsearch's digital transformation in 2017 and built out the full suite of digital marketing offers. With 15+ years in business growth and marketing, Adam is on a mission to make marketing damn easy for small businesses around Australia.
