Can I update my Localsearch listing?

The quickest way, if you have a Verified Business listing, is to login using your username and password. For all other users, please call us on 1300 36 0867.

What is a Localsearch Verified Business?

A Localsearch Verified Business is a paid advertiser on localsearch.com.au. Their upgraded profile receives more customisable options (such as photos) and a higher position in the search results. 

Do you offer any sponsorship opportunities?

Where do the localsearch maps come from?

Our maps are produced specifically for our directories, which we update annually so they’re as accurate as possible. If you find something we’ve missed on a map, please email us at [email protected].

Do you provide directory assistance?

No, sorry. You can find who you’re looking for in our print directory or on localsearch.com.au. 

Is there a way I can stop receiving the phone directory?

Artwork & General Enquiries

Can I provide my own artwork?

You sure can! Simply email your artwork to [email protected]. Before you do, please read our Style Guide to ensure your artwork is set up correctly. We’re unable to use any artwork that doesn’t meet our technical specifications.

Do I get to see my Display ad proof before it's printed or goes online?

Of course. You’ll receive an email with your proof and instructions of how to approve your artwork or make any changes, if required. 

What's the easiest way to make changes to my Localsearch artwork?

You can request changes by emailing [email protected] or calling 1300 36 0867. You’re welcome to write or draw on your proof, scan or take a photo of the corrections and send them to us if you have very specific changes in mind.

When is my artwork deadline?

It depends on the directory you’re featured in. We’ll contact you well before the deadline regarding your artwork. Please talk to your consultant or contact head office if you’re at all concerned.

WHO DO I CONTACT ABOUT PAYMENTS OR INVOICES?

Please call us on 1300 36 0867 for all enquiries about invoices, paying by credit or debit card or to find out our bank account details.

How do I get in touch with my consultant?

If you can’t find your consultant’s details, please email [email protected] and we’ll get them in touch with you as soon as possible.

Technical

What operating system does the Localsearch website support?

Our website supports Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, Mac OSX 10.3.9 and higher. Linux Distributions are currently not supported.

Is it just me, or is the Localsearch website slow to load?

It could be just your internet connection. Our website is designed to be used by users with an ADSL broadband connection of 512kbs or higher. If you’re on a dial-up connection, you may experience slower performance.

How do I download the media guides?

Our media guides are in PDF (Portable Document Format) files, so you’ll require Adobe Acrobat 9.0 or higher to download them and view them correctly. Visit get.adobe.com/reader/ to download the latest version.

Why is part of the Localsearch website cut off on my screen?

If you’re unable to see the whole screen, please check your display settings and ensure your screen resolution is at least 1024 x 768.

Reviews

Can a business contact a reviewer?

We will never share contact information submitted by a reviewer with anyone, including the business. However, if the business already has your contact information, they may get in touch to resolve an issue or thank you for leaving a review.

How can a reviewer remove a review they've submitted?

Simply email [email protected] using the email the review was submitted with explaining the reason for the request. Our reviews team will be in touch with you within 48 business hours.

If a business doesn't like a review, can they have it removed?

Maybe. We are bound by The Competition and Consumer Act 2010, which is in place to keep a fair review environment for both businesses and consumers. Please see our content integrity page for more information.

Is it possible to update a review once it's been submitted?

Please email [email protected] from the email submitted with the review with any changes you wish to make to your submission, including removing a surname.

Why can’t I see a review I’ve submitted

All reviews pass through our review moderation team. It takes roughly 24–48 hours (Monday to Friday) for a review to be processed and go live on the profile page, if it has been approved for publication. You will receive an email if your review does not meet our guidelines and has not been approved.

What should a business do if they receive a negative review?

As a business owner, the best thing you can do is stay cool, calm and collected. Where possible, reply to the review with the aim of resolving the matter and giving a good impression of your business to anyone reading the review and response. Avoid criticising the reviewer and going in with the intention of making them look wrong. Of course, if the review is false or misleading, you can follow our review removal process outlined on our Content Integrity page.
