How to Navigate Your Business Profile

When you signed up for your Business Profile, you will have received log in details to your BMP. If you use these details to sign into your BPM, you’ll be taken to your homepage, where we will be starting this tour overview.

BMP Homepage

Personal details.

To update your personal details, go to the ‘person’ icon in the top right corner of the home page.

Your Localsearch suite.

If you click on the ‘four dots’ icon in the top right corner of the home page, you will see your Localsearch suite. Here you will find other useful marketing tools including, Nucleus and account settings.

Profile information.

Go to ‘Profile Info’ to update your details, such as phone number, website, email and address. Ensuring this information is correct can improve local SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and make it easier for potential customers to find and contact your business.

Trading hours.

To update your trading hours, find the ‘clock’ icon on the home page and click ‘update hours’. For public holidays like ANZAC day, it’s important you have updated your trading hours across all necessary platforms.

Create or view posts.

Go to ‘Latest Posts’ to create a post or view your previous posts. Posting on your Business Profile can help you increase your visibility in search results, engage with customers and improve SEO.


If you want to add images to your BMP, simply select ‘add images’ in the image section. Images can be a powerful tool in communicating your brand message and showcasing your products or services.

Ratings and reviews.

Go to ‘Average Rating’ to see your ratings. You can also see all your reviews and respond to them in this section. Whether the review is positive or negative, responding shows you care about your customers’ experiences and are willing to engage with them.

Keep in mind no business is perfect!

Having a few negative reviews can actually lend credibility to your positive reviews, indicating your business is authentic and transparent.

Profile analytics.

If you want to take a quick dive into your analytics, you can see your ‘Profile Searches’ and ‘Profile Views’ at the bottom of the home page. This is a fast and effective way to check how your Business Profile has been performing over the past year.
