Becoming a Gold Sponsor and naming rights partner of the Laurie Spina Shield, the club’s flagship junior rugby league carnival held on 20-21 July in Townsville, was an easy decision according to Localsearch Co-Founder Daniel Stoten.

“Supporting the community has always been part of what we do,” says Stoten. “We’ve been helping hundreds of junior sporting clubs all over Australia for years, and we’re proud to be part of this exciting partnership with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.”

This year’s carnival hosted 72 teams, who travelled across North Queensland and as far as Darwin and the Torres Strait Islands.

With Localsearch branding almost everywhere you turned, it was easy to see their impact on and off the field.

Cowboys Chief Commercial Officer Jeff Reibel said it’s that commitment to the community that makes Localsearch a natural choice as partner for the club.

“Localsearch is a company that has thrived by putting local communities at the heart of their business for 25 years. With the Cowboys sharing the same values around giving back to the community, it is exciting to welcome such a strong brand to the Cowboys family.”

Localsearch Head of Marketing, Adam Boote, and Localsearch Townsville representative, Jade Bowen, attended the carnival to cheer and support all teams involved.

“It was a fantastic weekend, full of great sportsmanship and we can’t wait to do it all over again next year.” Said Boote.

“This partnership strengthens our commitment to actively contribute to the community, through supporting sports and activities at a grassroots level.”
