Localsearch proudly marked its first year as one of the sponsors of  Free Trade Day  on October 20, 2023. The event showcased the spirit of community and generosity within the Central Coast area.

Free Trade Day is a unique and inspiring event that brings together tradespeople from across the country to offer their services free of charge to those in need. It is a day dedicated to improving the lives of everyday Australians, and it has a deep impact on individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.

Free Trade Day: The Business of Kindness

Dedicated to improving the lives of everyday Australians, Free Trade Day brings together tradespeople from across the country to offer their services free of charge to those in need. This initiative has a deep impact, especially on individuals facing challenging circumstances, such as those who struggle to make ends meet, the elderly living alone with limited resources, and neighbours in dire need of essential home repairs.

This year, Free Trade Day saw an incredible display of support and goodwill from the community. More than 78 tradespeople donated their time and expertise to help those facing hardship. From assisting individuals who had fallen on hard times to aiding those battling health issues or coping with the loss of a partner, the event served as a symbol of hope for many.

The Localsearch team was honoured to participate in Free Trade Day, a meaningful community initiative that highlights the resilience, empathy and selflessness of the Central Coast community. Witnessing the incredible acts of kindness displayed during this event was a privilege and serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back and supporting those in need.

Why Localsearch Supports Free Trade Day

Localsearch supports Free Trade Day because it aligns with our company’s values of supporting small businesses and giving back to the community.

Small businesses are the backbone of the Australian economy, and they play a vital role in our communities. Therefore, Localsearch is proud to be a part of Free Trade Day this year, an event that supports small businesses and helps those in need.

A team from Localsearch made their way to the Central Coast to participate in Free Trade Day, supporting clients involved in this meaningful initiative. It was a valuable opportunity to support those in need of Free Trade Day and witness the positive impact on the community.

Localsearch team: Nikki Tiedeman, Kaleb Roberts, Tash Robertson and Fran McNaughton.

“Free Trade Day was a humbling day of connection, gratitude and tears. The people who are recipients of the trades work on Free Trade Day often do without the basics. They have to decide between fixing the lights or putting food on the table for their families that month.
Watching tradies help these everyday people was one of the most inspiring and heart-felt things I’ve been a part of in a long while.
For businesses great and small, supporting Free Trade Day is absolutely the right thing to do. I can’t wait to watch this incredible orginsiation grow, and to be a part of next year’s events.”
