World Wildlife Day: Friday, 3 March 2023

World Wildlife Day was proclaimed as 3 March by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants. We rely on wildlife and biodiversity-based resources to meet literally ALL our needs, from food, to fuel, clothing, medicines and housing.


So many industries have been impacted by supply issues over the last few years – the construction and technology in particular. Take advantage of this opportunity by tying in your business’s approach to sustainability and doing your part for our environment.


Ways to recognise World Wildlife Day on social media:

 

  • Share facts about World Wildlife Day using the hashtags for this year’s celebration including, #WWD2023, #PartnershipsforConservation, #WorldWildlifeDay and #WWD.
  • If you work in the education sector, get your students to choose an endangered animal or plant to draw or paint, then share the artwork on social media. You could also run a competition for kids who visit your shop, office or practice.
  • Recognise any critically endangered species in your state to spread awareness amongst followers in your area.
