Mabo Day – Saturday, 3 June 2023

Mabo day is recognised annually on 3 June as part of National Reconciliation Week. Mabo Day is named after Eddie Mabo, the activist who led efforts to reform rights for Indigenous Australians. It is important note, Mabo Day is an official public holiday in the Torres Shire, Far North Queensland.
