Small and medium-sized businesses in Australia have the chance to enhance their operations with grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000. These grants are available to help businesses upgrade to more  energy-efficient equipment —an initiative with significant benefits for both the environment and their finances.

Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Enterprises Round 2 

Energy Efficiency Grants  aim to support businesses by upgrading or replacing inefficient equipment, ultimately reducing energy usage and costs. Learn about the grant opportunity and check your eligibility.


Key Details:


  • Grant Amount: Up to $25,000 covering 100% of eligible expenditure.
  • Total Funding: $41.241 million available.
  • Application Deadline: Closes April 8, 2024, 5:00 pm AEST.
  • Eligibility: Open to businesses with 1 to 199 employees.
  • Distribution: Funding will be allocated across states and territories based on national business distribution.
  • Demand Driven: Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted in each jurisdiction.


Program Objectives:


  • Improve energy efficiency practices and technology adoption.
  • Assist businesses in managing energy costs.
  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions.


Intended Outcomes:


  • Increase awareness of energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Lower power bills for small and medium businesses.
  • Contribute to Australia’s emission reduction target of 43% below 2005 levels by 2030.


Application Requirements:


  • Eligible entities with eligible projects and expenditures can apply.
  • Applicants cannot have received funding from Round 1 of this program.
  • Only one grant per applicant (determined by ABN) is allowed.


 This grant opportunity presents a valuable chance for businesses to enhance their sustainability efforts while improving their bottom line. Interested businesses can now  apply  and secure their share of the funding before the deadline.
