Mabo Day – Saturday, 3 June 2023
Mabo day is recognised annually on 3 June as part of National Reconciliation Week. Mabo Day is named after Eddie Mabo, the activist who led efforts to reform rights for Indigenous Australians. It is important note, Mabo Day is an official public holiday in the Torres Shire, Far North Queensland.

On 6 June, Queenslanders will be commemorating the day their beautiful state officially gained independence from New South Wales way back in 1859. This is a great opportunity for local Queensland companies to recognise their great state.
