Website &
Web Hosting FAQ

The cost of building a website can start anywhere from $29 a week but can cost upwards of $10,000. Website pricing can depend on the size and complexity of the site, such as what you need the website to do. For example, an eCommerce website is going to cost more than a simple single-page website.

Localsearch can help with all-sized websites for all purposes. Request your free quote today.

Yes, you do need hosting for a website. Web hosting is what puts your website online, storing all your files to be shown to someone when they visit your URL.

Think of the internet like a filing cabinet and your website is a file within the cabinet. When someone calls on that file (such as Googling your website), it’s pulled from the filing cabinet and shown to the person in need.

To make your life easier, Localsearch website subscriptions include website hosting and management.

Every small business website needs to include the basics, like who you are, what you do, where you do it and how to contact you. However, to be found online, it’s essential your website is mobile friendly, is structured correctly, receives regular updates and is hosted on a fast server, amongst other things.

Even if your small business website is ranking well, with Google’s regular updates, it may not rank well forever. So, it’s important you’re not only building a good website, but ensuring it’s getting the search engine optimisation management it needs also.

Yes, you can build your own website or have someone design, write and develop your website for you. Before building your own website, you’ll want to have some basic coding knowledge, as well as understand user-experience, design, content and search engine optimisation best practices.

While a basic informational website may work for some businesses, if you want to be easy to find online or a more complex website (like an eCommerce site), you will likely need the help of a professional. Like you are in your industry, reputable website builders are experts in getting you results from your site.

Digital Marketing FAQ

To ensure your digital marketing is working for your business, you first need to decide what goal you determine to be a success for your business and then track these analytics.

For example, while one business may have a goal of increasing the number of visits on their website or views of a social media ad, another may have a goal of increasing phone enquiries.

This is why it’s important to ensure your website, social media accounts, Google Analytics and Google Search Console are all appropriately connected. All Localsearch clients receive complimentary access to Nucleus, our all-in-one digital marketing dashboard to help you keep track of all your campaigns with us in one place.

The best digital marketing service is different for every business. However, a website is considered essential for every business, big and small.

A business who is looking to increase their online presence will want to look at digital marketing like Localsearch.com.au, search engine optimisation, organic social media and Google Business Profile. While a business who wants more leads needs to invest in audience-targeting campaigns, like Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

If you’re not sure where to start, our Digital Marketing Specialists at Localsearch can help guide you.

A Google Premier Partner is a provider of Google Ads services who has been assessed by Google for meeting a high standard of ad quality and quantity. Google Premier Partners are in the top 3% of Google Ads agencies in Australia.

Using a Google Premier Partner for your Google Ads helps you know your campaigns are in good hands.

Your digital presence is how your business appears online and how easy it is for you to be found. Not having good digital presence would be like having a billboard in the desert — what’s the point?

Good digital presence refers to a business who is easy to find online, has all their information up to date and is optimised for those who would be looking for them. Therefore, it is important to have your business be on as many reputable places online as possible, including Localsearch.com.au, Google Business Profile, Google, Facebook, Instagram and more.

Without good digital presence, it will be hard to find your business, therefore decreasing your chance of new customers finding you.

Digital marketing is a broad term referring to many different marketing strategies, so to bring the role on internally or to hire freelancers, you may need multiple people to cover your website, social media, search engine presence, paid ads and more. Hiring a digital marketing freelancer can start anywhere from $50 an hour each and goes upwards from there, while hiring just one person may be in the $75,000+ a year range.

Outsourcing digital marketing allows you to get more for your money. A full-suite digital marketing service, like Localsearch, allows you to tap into website designers and developers, Google Ads specialists, SEO experts, Google My Business professionals, social media marketing teams and more for a lot less. You could utilise every single service for an entire year for less than it would cost you to hire or outsource from one individual with one focus.

By outsourcing your digital marketing, you’re also tapping into the skills, software and training the agency already has. This means you’re not paying the thousands of dollars a month it takes to actually just get what you need to be able to run campaigns effectively.
