To ensure the cleanest results for your campaign, we recommend you do not search for your own ads, and instead wait to receive your monthly report. Searching for your ads provides Google with false search data, and therefore skew the report data.
Keep in mind that click costs can add up in a hurry, and spending $100 to generate $50 sales doesn’t make much sense. This is where ads on other areas of Google real estate can really drive results for your campaign.
What you’re likely seeing are remarketing ads, which we recommend. Remarketing (or retargeting) works by setting a cookie for users when they visit your site. This cookie then allows you to target those users as they browse other websites across Google’s network. Essentially, your ads ‘follow’ your website visitor even after they are off your website!
It will depend on how much competition you have, your budget and how quickly your ads start performing at their peak. The great thing about our campaign management is everything is trackable. Our reports will update you on leads generated by the campaign, and you will know exactly how much business is being generated by your ads.
Bidding on your brand name is typically a good decision, but it certainly depends. If you find that many competitors are bidding on your brand name, it’s likely a good decision in order to take up as much real estate as possible on the page and ensure searchers find you and not your competition. These branded clicks are generally extremely cheap and worth bidding on to ensure your competition doesn’t pinch your potential customers.
There are a number of factors affecting rankings, including competition, the age of your URL and whether you have previously been actively running an SEO campaign.
Getting rankings is only half the battle. Search engines are constantly evolving and updating their algorithms, and other SEO companies may apply sneaky strategies to your competitors’ websites (which might rank them quickly but also get them kicked off Google!).
Your rankings can fluctuate from one day to the next. Maintaining current rankings is just as involved as getting to the number 1 spot; it takes constant research, updates and testing to keep your URL ranking. This is why it is important to maintain your SEO strategy, even if you’ve achieved top position.
Buying backlinks is considered a ‘black-hat tactic’ and websites that do it get penalised by Google, sometimes they are even banned from Google permanently! As you can imagine, being penalised will cost you far more than a genuine SEO strategy.
At Localsearch, we only apply strategies that will assist your website growth without risk of penalisation. In short—we do things the right way to get your website found by authentic, genuine visitors.
There is no way to know 100% how a site will rank because of the search engine's constantly changing nature. To guarantee rankings would be unethical.
If you come across an SEO Agency guaranteeing rankings or claiming they have a special relationship with Google, be very cautious. Google warns against companies that make these claims, as they are untrue.
Again, there is no guarantee with SEO. We can guarantee our quality of service and recommendations, however it would be unethical for us to make any guarantees on results.
Any agency making these claims will be penalised heavily by Google.
Duplicate content is when you have two websites, with different URLs/Domain names, but exactly the same text.
A little bit of the same information here and there (less than 100 words) won’t harm your website, but it won’t help it either.
We strive for all content to be original and unique.
On-page optimisation is just as, if not more, important than off-page (backlinks, social mentions). If your website is not in tip-top condition and ready for search engines, then you simply will not rank.
Most web developers become very busy and don’t make the changes as quickly as we need them done. Having website access helps us rank you much faster.
