Five Localsearch clients took home wins at the 2026 Sunshine Coast & Regions Local Business Awards, held at Caloundra RSL.
There's a fantastic result to share from the Local Business Awards – Sunshine Coast & Regions, held recently at Caloundra RSL.
The Local Business Awards are an established Australian awards program that's been running for around 40 years, recognising and celebrating outstanding local businesses and the contribution they make to their communities. This year is particularly significant for the Sunshine Coast, with the Sunshine Coast & Regions introduced for the first time as part of the program.
The awards are community-driven. Local businesses are nominated by members of the public, with nominations helping determine which businesses progress as finalists. Finalists are then judged against specific criteria, including information provided by the business, their online presence and reviews.
Margaret, one of our local digital marketing specialists on the Sunshine Coast, had six clients nominated this year. Five of them took home an award on the night, with Olivia's Secret Hair & Beauty picking up two. It's a result that speaks volumes about the work these businesses put in every day, not just for their customers but for the people around them. It's also a great reminder of how important a strong online presence is for local businesses, helping them showcase what they do, build trust through reviews and stay visible to the communities they serve.

The sixth nominated client, Cotton Tree Meats, was also named a finalist.
Each of these businesses has its own story, customers and place within the Sunshine Coast community. Seeing them recognised at an event like this is a great reminder that local business is about much more than simply making a sale.
It's about becoming part of the community you operate in.
